Victor Sinclair Legacy Double Maduro Churchill

I had a very busy weekend so I really didn’t have the time to set up the camera and do a video review. Instead, I had to multitask and so I smoked a Victor Sinclair Legacy Double Maduro while I was working and watching football (Go Bears!). This was the first time I ever smoked a VS Legacy Double Maduro. I received the VS cigars a few weeks ago as part of a “Power Sampler” I purchased from Thompson Cigar. It’s a pretty good deal I ordered 16 Churchill cigars for $29.99. Not bad.

The Victor Sinclair website describes these Maduro’s as:

One of the most sought after cigars for the cigar smoker. A careful blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobacco filler wrapped with an aged, rich, oily Maduro leaf imparts a deep, nutty tone with notes of cocoa for a satisfying full-bodied finish.

Wrapper:
Nice chocolate brown wrapper. Very pleasing to the eye.

Ash:
At first the ashes had a nice white color and looked strong. As I got through the smoke the ashes became flaky and didn’t hold long, which was a bit disappointing. Especially when they unexpectedly dropped in my lap.

Taste and Pull:
I got kind of a chocolate/ceedar taste from the cigar. The pull was very easy going and was a good smoke to have while I was multitasking.

Final Thoughts:
Overall I thought it was a good smoke. Easy to get through and nice taste. I will def smoke these again and would recommend them as well. Especially to anyone who is new to smoking.

I just smoked one of these from the same sampler…but had a different experience…the burn was quite inconsistent, requiring constant touchups…this was a real pain, but the flavor was quite nice, with chocolate and coffee throughout the entire smoke. I would buy these again in a fiver perhaps, but not a box…

Hmm, interesting. I just did a blog post about a Victor Sinclair 55 I smoked. Should be up over the next day or two. Have you ever smoked one of those?
