Cigar Review: Hoyo De Monterrey Habana

I’ve always heard that Hoyo De Monterrey Habana cigars are some of the best there is and I’m happy to say that now I confirm that. I recently had my first Hoyo De Monterrey Habana cigar. The cigar was given to me as a gift.

Ash:
The first thing I noticed when I lit the smoke what the nice white ash. One of the best looking ashes I think I’ve ever seen. Just as with any good Cuban cigar, the ash held on very well.

Wrapper:
The wrapper has a nice light brown, smooth look to it. Very pleasing to the eye.

Taste and Pull:
Easy pull and great taste. By the time I got half way through the smoke I was starting to feel a bit light headed. At that point I had to switch from my Jack & Coke to coffee to help ease up a little.

Final Thoughts:
This was a great smoke. It’s not a smoke you rush through or should smoke while your doing something else. This is a smoke you should make sure you have plenty of time to get through, relax and enjoy it!
